Strong Faith

In Ephesians 6:10, the apostle Paul writes, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”

God encourages and desires a strong faith! We should all be growing in our faith. But are we? Sometimes it can be difficult when we don’t know what’s next, or going to come, but we all must have faith.

1 Peter 2:2 says:

“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”

2 Corinthians 10:15:

Not boasting of things beyond measure, that is, in other men’s labors, but having hope, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our sphere,

God blesses it! Everyone needs commitment and perseverance. Thats something you will need if you seek to exercise yourself in godliness.

God provides it! Everything God has ever asked from us, he has already provided for us.

1 Peter 1:3 says: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

Train, work and discipline yourself.

God has given us the environment for a strong faith!

In 2 Peter 1:5, it is written: “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge.”

Your spiritual appetite must grow!

Colossians 3:1-2
Therefore, if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Keep your minds on things above, not on things on the earth.

You can control your actions, but not always reactions. Control your emotions, and attitudes, and faith. Worry is a steeler of gratitude. Doubt is a taker of trust. Stress is a thief of joy. Unbelief kills your hope to believe.

2 Corinthians 5:9 says, “So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.”

John 5:30 says:

“I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.”

The will of God is for your faith to be strong. I hope this encourages you!

Changed Perspective

How does death change your perspective?

When I find death around me, I realize that life is short, make every day count because you can never get back the moment that has already passed. Use your time wisely, not for things that amount up to nothing, but things that will last eternally. For instance, serve God, because the reward is forever.

Is the Bible the word of God, or man?

I hope you were encouraged in your faith, until next time, sincerely, Eden.

THE BLIND MAN SEES

Read Mark 10:46-52

Have you ever met a blind person? Maybe they were being led by a dog who can see as there helper. Bartimaeus had no one, or thing, to help him. He had to beg by the road for money every day, because that was the only way for a blind man to make money back then. One day Jesus came by to where Bartimaeus often sat, and of course Bartimaeus couldn’t see, but he had heard all about Jesus. He wouldn’t let this opportunity slip, so he yelled out, Jesus, help me! Everyone told him to hush up, but he just yelled louder and louder, Jesus help me! Jesus called for the blind man and asked him what he wanted, and he simply said he wanted to see. So Jesus healed him!

We all have needs, just like Bartimaeus had needs. We mustn’t be quiet about them. Call out to God and he will answer you.

PRAYER: Dear God, thank you for noticing me, and always hearing me when I call to you. Thank you for always helping and being there to listen to my needs. Amen.

Thanks for reading! Until next time, sincerely, Eden.

The Narrow Path

"Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and not be able." Luke 13:24 ESV

Picture in your mind that you want to go for a hike. You gather the things you will need and set off. It’s not too bad in the beginning, but as you go on, obstacles start appearing. The road starts to become tough, and you don’t think it is fun anymore. Meanwhile beside you there has been a way out to the easy road. You set out on this journey, are you going to make it happen or turn around?

This is like in your everyday life. Which will you choose? God never has made a challenge that you can’t endure. He is testing you. There is a road to heaven and a road to hell. Make you decisions carefully because if you aren’t, you might start hanging around with the wrong friends, or disrespecting your parents… We both know what that leads to.

God, I know there will be tough obstacles on the way, but help me to stay on your path and let you lead the way. Help me to choose my friends wisely and honor you with all I do, Amen.

Thank you for reading! Please come back soon for more! Have a wonderful day and God bless.

As the deer pants.

1
“As the deer pants for the water brook, so my soul pants for you.2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”

That was Psalm 42:1-2 In answer to the question, I say now! You can meet with him whenever. I find myself just talking to him when I’m trying to do something, or really anything. You may also, go in your room and shut the door and just poor your heart as it says in the beginning of verse 4. 4 “These things I remember as I pour out my soul.”

So many people think they don’t have time for that, and if you don’t, make time! God will always have time for you, won’t you now just give him some of yours? God hears your prayers! He will always listen. As it is said in Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God.”

I hope you learned something today! Come back soon for more!

Listen

Eli was a priest, and Samuel was his helper. Priests are supposed to hear messages from God, but they rarely heard words from Him in those days. Samuel had never heard Gods voice.

One night, Samuel was sleeping, and the Lord spoke to him. Samuel thought it was Eli, and three times ran to him. Eli realized this was God speaking to Samuel. He told Samuel to listen, and he obeyed. He became Israel’s prophet.

Many Christians forget to listen to God. They are to busy and they miss hearing his voice. Be like Samuel, listen for God to speak. When he does, tell him you are ready, and you are listening. Obey him.

PROMISE ———————————————————————————————————- God still speaks through are quiet prayer and praise.

Big plans

Did you know that, before you were born, God had big plans for you? Before Samson was even born, God had a special plan for his life. God gave Samson amazing strength. He started off using it to destroy the Israelites enemies, but then he fell in love with the philistine woman, and God took away his strength. He was taken captive and held prisoner by the philistines. The philistines were holding a huge party and God gave Samson one last bit of strength and Samson destroyed the temple.

What gifts do you have? Keep your eyes on him and use your gifts for his glory.

TO SMALL

Do you ever feel to small to serve God? Perhaps some friends are taller or seem smaller than you. Do you think God only uses the biggest, smartest people to work with Him? Surprise! God loves to work through small people and tall people, people with red hair and people with brown hair! Just look at Gideon. God called him to fight against a very large army. Then He told Gideon to get rid of almost all of his army! Only 300 soldiers were invited to fight. Now that’s scary! But guess what? God defeated there enemies!

When ever you feel like something is too hard for you, thank God for it. Remember that He loves to be strong for you when your weak.

PRAYER

————————————————————————————————————————God, you have chosen all sorts of people to serve you. When I don’t feel very strong, thank you for being my strength.

Balaam

Do you like animals? What’s your very favorite one? Wouldn’t it be fun if our pets could talk to us? What if while your where working, one of them spoke out loud? What would you think?(You can answer in the comments)

Balaam got to find out. One day Balaam was riding a donkey, headed to a bad place. Balaam wanted to disobey God, but the donkey he was riding didn’t. God had put a invisible angel with a flaming sword right in front of him. The donkey could see him and did everything she could to stop. Balaam just kept hitting the donkey. So God made the donkey speak. She let Balaam know he was doing a bad thing. Then God showed Balaam the hidden angel, and Balaam told God he was sorry.

Why would you ever want to go against God? He loves us and wants the best for us!

PS. It wouldn’t be a good idea to disobey God just to see if your dog will speak. I think it was just for Balaam!
